Canada Sri Lankan Community Warmly Welcome Victor Ratnayaka

September 22nd October 2007 was a special day to Sri Lankan community in Vancouver BC. For the first time, BC Sri Lankan community was fortunate to go to local venue to take pleasure in Victor Ratnyaka's "SA Prsanagaya". The response was overwhelming; some crowds drove as much as 300 miles to see the live concert. AFNW take this opportunity to thank Victor Ratnayaka, his group and Sri Lankan community in BC for their contribution to the show.

Victor Ratnayaka - He was the first Sri Lankan musician to hold a live one man concert; His concert known as "SA" since first performance in 1973, and is an thriving success. For the first time ever, Victor Ratnayaka will be performing in Vancouver BC, Canada on 22nd September 2007.

"Amara Piya Sara in Seattle", was a tribute to a master musician Dr. Padmasri Pandith Amaradeva, held in Carlson Theater on 22nd April 2006. The Arts Foundation of NW would like to take this opportunity to thank all individuals and organizations contributed to success of the event.

Amaradeva Successfully Completed His North American Tour - July 2006

The maestro in Sinhala Music , Dr. Padith Amaradeve successfully competed his North American tour. During his tour, he performed at nine cities including Los Angeles, San Jose, Seattle, New York, Phoenix Houston, Minnesota and Toronto- Canada. Dr. Amaradeva was accompanied by his daughter Subhani, an accomplished vocalist, and by his professional musical team D.D. Gunasena, Hemapala Gallage, Nalaka Anjana Kumara and Suresh Maliyadde.
